Most of the dialogues in the novel are in rural language and I hope the readers will like it. This is a novel with a different plot. An interfaith male and female, especially a girl from a family of farmers brought up in the affluence of an advanced race, falls in love with an interfaith boy, making him accept her love even if he does not want it. And then the story of love, love and romance between those two lovers develops in a story of a period of time. In another, a daughter of a Devadasi comes to the decision that she should not become a Devadasi like her mother and grandmother and live like a Garati. Her courage to face problems boldly is what fills her with zest for life. A married boy from a family of sahukars who indulges her desires succeeds in preventing her from becoming a devadasi as is the evil custom in the society. When he takes her to Tannuri against her will, he faces fierce opposition from his parents and wife at home. The story continues in several twists and turns in which Basavi’s daughter wins everyone’s hearts and becomes their home in the coming days with her immense tolerance, patience and broad mind.
